Situation

All Real Nutrition is an Irish sports nutrition brand with an established domestic following and a product line built on clean formulation. The United States was the obvious next market and the one they had no way to enter.

They had done what most brands do first: researched, taken advice from several directions, and arrived at a set of requirements that didn't resolve into an order of operations.

Challenge

Three problems, and they were sequential rather than parallel.

The regulatory position was unresolved. Labels built for the Irish market did not meet U.S. requirements, and nobody had established which ingredients needed attention before a formulation could be considered settled.

There was no import pathway. No U.S. agent, no customs arrangement, no product liability cover of the kind U.S. retailers require before they will list a brand.

And there was no U.S. presence of any kind — no entity, no team, no way to service an account from eight time zones away.

Strategy

Compliance first, commerce second. The temptation with a brand that already sells well is to start conversations early and solve the paperwork behind them. That sequence fails, because a buyer conversation that goes well and then stalls on labeling is harder to restart than one that never began.

We closed the regulatory position completely before any commercial activity, then used e-commerce as the proving ground — velocity data being the first thing a category buyer asks for.

Execution

  • Full FDA compliance review across the line, with labeling rebuilt to U.S. requirements
  • Ingredient status confirmed before formulation was locked for the U.S. market
  • Import pathway established, including customs and the documentation retailers require
  • Product liability insurance placed to U.S. retail standards
  • Amazon and online retail listings built, positioned and managed
  • TruLife operating as the brand's U.S. commercial function throughout

Outcome

All Real Nutrition entered the United States with a compliant line, a working import pathway, and insurance in place — then launched on Amazon and additional online retailers with TruLife managing the U.S. operation.

The brand's founder described the compliance work as handled professionally and the market entry as straightforward, which is the outcome the sequencing was designed to produce.

Lessons

  1. Order beats speed. Every month spent on compliance before commercial activity saved more than a month later.
  2. Ingredients decide the timeline. Not paperwork. Confirm status before formulation is locked.
  3. E-commerce is a proving ground, not a consolation prize. It generates the velocity data that makes a retail buyer meeting productive.
  4. Distance is an operational problem, not a communication one. Someone has to be able to act in U.S. business hours.

In their words

“They professionally handled FDA compliance and assisted us with entering the USA marketplace with ease.”
